A thought going into the New Year...

Whenever someone tells you that you did something "wrong" or that you "made a mistake"- just means that you did something that did not align with their values or the values of the society that they live in.

The only real "wrong" or "mistake" you can make is to betray your own values, thus betraying yourself.

An after Christmas Thought ..

Probably the worst thing about our society and culture is that on some level we're expected to justify our very existence by some form of moral obligation.

I think that's abhorrent.

"Nightmare's Prophet"- (A Poem)

                                        (Drawing by Liliana Wofsi-Dohnert)

"Nightmare’s Prophet came to me, in liquid lies, and entropy.

His backward whispers of blue skinned whores, belching blood on a chessboard floor!

The quick-phase harlequin and faceless mage, led me down to twilight’s grave.

Where twisted branches grasped the gloom, o’er empty thrones in crypted rooms

On pallid steed he takes my site, this blind-dead prophet of the night!"

A Lamentation....and a Return.

"I'm buried inside myself, entombed in this life,
waiting for rapture in the darkest of nights."

"Black candles, Blues flames, Red curtains-
Forbidden names...."

"Spoken to the tempest in my sacred temples light."

"Yet now drowning in an abattoir, and choking on my strife. Gazing into a hated star to gain the will to fight."

"But my heart won't bleed, and will never need,... this dead soul's still frozen in the ice!"

I'm happy to announce I am now playing a recurring character "Rand/Trandy" in the new local sci-fi webseries The Weirdness  an experimental science fiction fantasy thriller, written and directed by Gina Andreoli the creator of the webby award winning Gemini Rising.

The series is an out of time out of place surrealistic tale, revolving around two sisters with psychic abilities, a drug called Nepenthium and the sinister Cron-X corporation.

My official artist website is now up at brandonlordross.com
A long time coming it is a good place to see select artworks and a place to get my general aesthetic.
Over the past year I have been busy creating new artworks, have started playing out again with the revamped Red Masque line-up, and done some acting in some local films:

I played one of the evil SORC workers in Brittany Rafalek's Sci-Fi film "Consumption" which is about a future where food is banned and people live by eating a pill. You an check out her site and endeavors at :http://www.brittanyrafalak.com/
                                                          On set filming "Consumption"

I was a bank robbery hostage in Josh Kastner's "In with the Old"

Screen Shot  from "In with Old" , "Mac" (right) talks some shotgun barrel to my character (left)

And with great relish I played "Mr. Leech" a blood drinking illuminati member in Alexandra Larry's "Leeches"

Mr. and Mrs. Leech sample some sweet young girl's blood in"Leeches"

Yet another cool project I was on crew for David Pym's experimental "Count Venus"

I will continue to update as new developments take place, and as a reminder artworks are for sale and I am seeking illustration/cover art work as well as new acting roles, and may begin to restart film ideas that have been on hold since my vimeo pages are getting numerous plays and new followers consistently.
